Dr. Lori Mills Helman is a Board Certified Optometric Physician. She did her undergraduate studies at the University of Florida and received her Doctorate from the Illinois College of Optometry. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and member of the American Optometric Association, Florida Optometric Association and Central Florida Society of Optometric Physicians. Early in her career Dr. Helman worked in South Florida with her father, a retired Optometrist and her grandfather who was an Optician. She is a Past President of the Broward County Optometric Association where she was also recognized as Optometrist of the Year. Dr. Helman moved to Central Florida to join an ophthalmology group in Lake County where she gained proficiency in diagnosis and management of ocular disease, binocular vision disorders, contact lens fittings and co-management of pre- and post-operative surgical procedures during the past 30 years. Dr. Helman is thrilled to be joining Central Florida Eye Center where she will continue to provide comprehensive eyecare. In her spare time, she enjoys cycling and spending time with family and friends.
